Help Nabeel and Naya To survive the war in Gaza
United States
This campaign is operated by Sophia Bennett from Boston, Massachusetts , on behalf of Mahmoud in Gaza. My name is Mahmoud. I’m 30 years old, and I’m a nurse in Gaza.
Every day, I wake up not knowing if I will see my wife, Salma, and my two little kids Nabeel, who is 2, and baby Naya, just 5 months old. The sounds of bombs are constant now. The ground shakes beneath us, and the air is filled with smoke and fear. But still, I go to work.
The hospital is all I have left to hold on to. We’re running out of supplies. There’s no electricity. People are coming in—wounded, burned, crying. I do what I can, but I can feel it: I am losing hope. My colleagues are getting injured. Some don’t come back. Every day, we fight, but there’s not much left to give.
At home, it’s even worse. My wife and kids are terrified. The bombs keep getting closer. We have no clean water. There’s not enough food. Nabeel has started asking why there’s so much noise, why the sky is always dark, and why he can’t play outside like he used to. Naya doesn’t even know what peace feels like. She only knows crying and fear.
I hold them close every night, whispering that everything will be okay. But I don’t know if that’s true anymore.
I never wanted to leave Gaza. This is my home. This is where I was born, where I grew up, where I met Salma, where I became a father. But right now, I don’t have a choice. If I don’t get my family out, they won’t survive.
I’m begging for your help. I need a way to get Salma, Nabeel, and Naya out of here. They need to live. They need a chance. They deserve to grow up in a world where they don’t have to hear bombs in the night or feel the walls shake beneath their feet.
Please, help me find a way to escape Gaza.
I can’t do it alone. Every donation, every share, every message of support brings us one step closer to safety.
Thank you for listening to my story. For caring. For helping.
Hello everyone, thank you for being here. The internet is finally back, and I wanted to send this urgent update.
My children, Nabeel and Naya, are both very sick. Nabeel has fallen ill after drinking polluted water he hasn’t been able to eat for two days and is suffering from diarrhea and severe stomach pain. Naya is also weak and showing signs of dehydration.
Right now, I desperately need help covering the costs of doctor visits, medicine, antibiotics, and diapers. I am doing everything I can as a father, but without income, I can’t afford the care they urgently need.
I’m so grateful to everyone who has helped us before, and especially those who donate regularly your kindness means the world to us. Please, if you can, continue to support us during this critical time. Nabeel and Naya are in constant need of medical attention.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with us.
